‘Lala’, has been essential in the growth of the company since joining J&L Catering in the early 2000’s as a prep cook. As an Event Chef, her attention to detail and creating memorable experiences for our clients has led to long-standing relationships. Her contribution also includes the development to our beverage department and now our wholesale division, 606 Fresh, of ready-to-eat, grab and go product line.
Prior to her J&L career path, Lala worked in many leading restaurants and foodservice management companies including the infamous Ambria, of the super successful Lettuce Entertain You organization. We are very excited as she takes a lead management position of our newly branded whole division, 606 Fresh.
Her passion for food, an adventurous palate, and an eye for trends will continue J&L Catering growing in the future.
Seferino hails from the mountains of Ecuador and he came to the US in July 2000. Right away, he started working as a dishwasher at the infamous Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, Scoozi. After 8 months, he was quickly promoted to working the hot line and stayed at Scoozi for 8 years. After working for 2 years at Scoozi, he became restless in the mornings and decided to take on another job at Aramark Business Services. His main location for 3 years was at R.R. Donnelley.
An opportunity at J&L Catering arose in 2005 to work as a cook. He worked at Scoozi and J&L Catering (both full-time positions) for 3 years. In 2008, On The Fly (now 606 Fresh) was opened and Seferino took a full-time position as the Production Manager. Seferino brings organization, consistency and excellence in service standards to 606 Fresh.
